About The Position

Qognify is seeking a dynamic individual with high energy and drive to join our team as Professional Services and Support Engineer. The position will require about 50% travel in the US and some internationally, but for now as allowed due to COVID 19 situation. This is a remote position.

About the opportunity:


Reporting to the head of Professional Services, you will provide support to Qognify’s customers and work as a member of the Professional Services team. You will be involved in product deployments, implementations, upgrades, configuration and integration projects.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide on-site or in-house training and training materials on the customer’s solution
  • Install and configure Qognify software and hardware solutions remotely and at customer’s site, while following defined methodology, processes, system requirements and customer specific needs
  • Resolve technical issues related to application implementation and troubleshoot product functionality
  • Perform acceptance tests to ensure that all components of the technical architecture are properly implemented and maintained
  • Provide technical support and technical quality control throughout all stages of the project
  • Contributes to work plan creation and specification



  • Minimum 2 years of technical experience
  • Engineering/Computer Science degree is preferred
  • Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Work successfully in a strong team environment
  • Willing to work in shifts
  • Global work experience is preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience in training (especially customer training) – big advantage
  • 50% travel in US and some international travel


Technical Requirements


  • Microsoft Server Installation and Configuration – IIS, SNMP
  • Microsoft Security – Active Directory, Security Policies, Hardening, Encryption
  • Disaster Recovery - Clustering, Geo-Clustering,
  • Server Hardware – HP, Dell, IBM
  • Virtual Servers - VMWare – ESX, VSX Clusters, VMotion
  • Citrix Servers – Configuration and Optimization


  • Microsoft SQL Server Installation and Configuration
  • Maintenance – Backups and Recovery, SQL Agent, Analysis Services
  • Scripting – Basic Query and Update knowledge
  • DBA activities, experience with SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures


  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VLAN) are mandatory
  • Troubleshooting – Sniffers and various other Network Testing and Analysis tools


  • CCTV background is preferred:
  • CCTV installation Experience
  • Audio/Video Streaming over LAN/WAN networks
  • Experience with network surveillance systems preferred
