About the position:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Subject Matter Expert/Solutions Engineer (m/f/d) for our Enterprise Incident Management (EIM) business.

Reporting to the Global Vice President of Sales, you are responsible for the successful management of the discovery process for the Technical Needs Analysis, Operational needs analysis and contribute to the overall Value Selling process associated with development of EIM opportunities in the EMEA region for the Qognify Enterprise Incident Management solution (Situator).

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Guide and facilitate, with the Strategic Account Managers and the Regional Solution Engineers, the Value Selling Process in the EMEA region: from business and technical discovery, through solution definition to the proposal phase
  • Lead solution definition and proposal generation for EIM Opportunities in EMEA
  • Embrace new technologies, master them and educate the sales team and solution engineers.
  • Act as an integral part of a team that develops best practices, tools, procedures and processes for the sales and solution engineering groups, to promote and enhance value selling of the Company’s solutions and products
  • Support the development of Packaged Solutions program, by defining business use cases and solution definition, and its roll-out to the field
  • Provide technical supervision for the solution definitions and proposals that are developed by the regional sales teams
  • Work with various other departments which include Services, Marketing, Product Management, & R&D to assist & contribute in the overall market analysis, marketing development, product development and product enhancements


  • Engineering degree preferred or equivalent with many years of professional experience in managing large international enterprise software projects (>10 years)
  • Long-term experience in solution selling
  • Experience and understanding of complex enterprise software using 3rd party integration requirements
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and conceptual skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English, further languages – an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel extensively national and international
