Dr. Bob Talks PSIM with Security Sales & Integration
Most System Integrators (SIs) have to work thirty percent harder these days just to keep profits level with last year. Declining margins on commoditized products, increasingly complex implementations, and expanding competition are all encroaching on bottom lines. So for SIs, adding PSIM to the portfolio can be an effective strategy to put profits on an upward trajectory. It can also move the SI up the Physical Security food chain to the command and control desktop. Unlike ‘one off’ video projects, PSIM is a ‘sticky’ solution that provides a long-lasting competitive edge. Even after PSIM’s implemented, customers typically evolve and expand their use of it – so SIs can always be relevant.
Recently, NICE’s own Dr. Bob Banerjee caught up with Scott Goldfine, Editor-in-Chief of Security Sales & Integration, to talk PSIM for SIs. In the podcast interview, Dr. Bob explains what PSIM is, what it does and how it’s different from a traditional VMS (Video Management System). He also sheds light on what integrators need to know to successfully sell, deploy and service PSIM-based solutions, and talks about some of the most promising markets and applications for PSIM.
