This short YouTube video successfully highlights the key turning points for NICE’s new Video Management System, Net 2.0. It explains exactly why it is partner friendly and how we’ve been able to pass down the “DNA” from best practices gained through successful (and massive deployments) to NiceVision Net 2.0 Professional and eXpress which are cost effective and suitable for more modest size projects (anywhere from 16-200 cameras). It also explains how we’ve discovered a way to record many more cameras on each NVR. Coupled with very high storage densities and a revolutionary new Hybrid Recorder (up to 128 cameras per recorder), this translates into less rack space, less power and less cooling, all of which quantifiably drive down the Total Cost of Ownership.
NICE is also focusing on raising recording server-based intelligence, which is why the new line of non-proprietary smarter NVRs are referred to as Smart Video Recorders (SVRs). Examples of this “smartness” include video analytics, tamper detection and Visual Parameter Optimization, which scans the incoming video every two seconds for opportunities to improve brightness and contrast for optimal video recording and viewing. The point is that with NiceVision Net 2.0 it doesn’t matter which IP camera or encoder you use, the smarts and performance are the same across the board. And since set up (video analytics, for example) is all done through the SVR, you don’t have to deal with the inherent nuances of different encoders and IP cameras. It’s an easy learning curve. The setup is seamless and identical.
Since first beginning work on NiceVision Net 2.0 two years ago, NICE’s focus has been on integrator-friendly, IT-friendly, non-proprietary, open solutions. Now, with the launch of Net 2.0, we’re ready, with purpose-built offerings for the largest to the smallest of projects. Check out this YouTube video and see for yourself.
